All public service departments, including the Circulation/Reserve Desk, Interlibrary Loan, Reference Desk/Chat, Reference Online Center (ROC) Lab, and STEP Labs, close 15 minutes before the building closes.
Donation boxes are at the front and back entrances. All books donated will go to the Childcare Center. The Vermilion and L'Acadien are sponsoring this drive.
Special Collections has changed the time for its journalism event from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The library conducted a survey in early October to assess your overall use, needs, and future needs regarding Dupré Library. The results of that survey are now available to view.
This feedback has helped us to better understand your library needs. More group and individual study rooms have been added, and more changes are to come.

Mobile whiteboards are available on each floor. No checkout is necessary.
Come out to celebrate the life of the late author with a memorial service at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A recorded reading by the late author, photos, and reflections on his life and impact will be shared. There will be a scrapbook for the family where you can sign a page and share your memories of Dr. Gaines.
The memorial service will take place at the Ernest J. Gaines Center, 3rd floor, on Nov. 11 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is open to the public.
