Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday | CLOSED

All public service departments, including the Circulation/Reserve Desk, Interlibrary Loan, Reference Desk/Chat, Reference Online Center (ROC) Lab, and STEP Labs, close 15 minutes before the building closes.

John J. Lynch Papers Now Available

Special Collections at UL Lafayette is proud to present the papers of Louisiana biologist John J. Lynch. Lynch was a flyway biologist surveyed the migratory patterns of waterfowl such as geese, brant, and swans. Some of his most important work included the study, recovery, and preservation of Whooping Cranes. He helped rescue surviving cranes in Louisiana and even hatched the first Whooping Crane egg in captivity. His daughter, Mary Lynch Courville, donated the collection.

Library Reopening on Monday

The library will REOPEN on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 7:30 a.m. The University announced offices will reopen and classes will resume on Monday.

Due to the threat of potential flooding in Acadiana from Tropical Storm Barry, the University will be closed tomorrow through the weekend.

The library will CLOSE at 5 p.m. today Thursday, July 11, 2019. The library expects to reopen on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 7:30 a.m.

Exhibit: UL Lafayette Trophies from Special Collections

Come see the new UL Lafayette Trophies exhibit in the library stairwell.

This exhibit showcases a selection of awards given to UL Lafayette students, from the 1940s through the 1980s, for their performance in a variety of judged competitions. These competitions include debates, public speaking, poetry readings, dramatic interpretations, athletics, drills, rallies, homecoming events, and Air Force ROTC cadet activities.

All of these items are a part of the University Archives of Special Collections, 3rd floor.
