Event: Lafayette Public Library Bookmobile & Card Sign-Up

Lafayette Public Library is bringing the Bookmobile to campus. It will be here today, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in front of Dupré Library. Sign up for a free public library card and get access to books, DVDs, CDs and so much more.

The Bookmobile will be making monthly visits to the UL Lafayette campus. Check the library social media and events pages for times and dates.

The next visit will be on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Event: Constitution Day

Celebrate Constitution Day with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and fellow community members. All students, faculty, staff, and the public are encouraged to attend, as we commemorate The Constitution of the United States of America.

Exhibit: Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco from Special Collections

Special Collections has a new exhibit in honor and memory of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco. The exhibit contains materials from her personal collection, which will soon be housed in the upcoming Kathleen Babineaux Blanco Public Policy Center.

The exhibit is located in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room on the 3rd floor.

In Memory of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco

Dupré Library mourns the death of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco. Being the first and only woman to be elected governor of Louisiana, she was a beacon of light for all Louisiana citizens, and worked hard to overcome the state’s obstacles. Her legacy has manifested into the new Kathleen Babineaux Blanco Public Policy Center, a research center established at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018 to hold her gubernatorial papers and provide a space for researchers and policy makers. Dupré Library is proud to be the home of the Center and her papers.

8/9/19 Weekend: Responses to Reference Requests Delayed

Starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, there will be a delay in librarians responding to reference requests. Due to the University transitioning to a new email system this weekend, we will be unable to receive or send emails from the library email accounts during this period.
