Digital Archives
The Digital Archives encompasses digitized and born-digital materials that are part of Special Collections. They are housed internally on a library shared drive, CDs/DVDs, and other electronic media. Some collections, such as UL Lafayette President Stephens' photograph albums and early issues of the Vermilion student newspaper, are available for access at the Louisiana Digital Library.
Special Collections provides digitization services for research and scholarly use. Digitization efforts are utilized to preserve the University's archival holdings and to increase their accessibility for the community.
- For more information on Dupré Library's policies on digitization, view the Digitization and Photoduplication Policies and Procedures.
- To request digitized materials from Special Collections, complete a Digitization Request Form.
Special Collections also produces Digital Exhibits that reflect parts of collections from the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collection. Items courtesy of Special Collections.
