In advance of Special Collections's upcoming journalism event, Ken Stickney of The Advocate has written an article highlighting the event, Alton Broussard, and his impact of Lafayette journalism. The article is titled "Independent Lafayette paper from the '60s focus of UL event".

The Special Collections journalism event will be held Thursday, November 21 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room, 3rd floor of Dupré Library.
