Jessica Barton has been named the winner of the 2020 Jefferson Caffery Research Award. Her project, "Ambassador Jefferson Caffery (1886-1974): Latin American Posts", focuses on Ambassador Caffery's services in El Salvador, Colombia, Cuba and Brazil. Jessica utilized the Jefferson Caffery Papers (Collection 45) housed in the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collection.
The Chronicle of Higher Education has reported a data security incident. Unauthorized parties made account holder names, email addresses, usernames, and passwords for some online accounts to chronicle.com, philanthropy.com, and chroniclevitae.com available online.
The library has access to expanded resources provided by JSTOR in response to the COVID-19 crisis. These resources include a wide range of journals and primary sources and eBook titles. Access to the materials will be available for various lengths, but all users are welcome to explore the collections and make use of these resources for their research and study. A ULID login is required to access the collections and materials listed.
For the past few months, we has been pleased to provide access to resources made open by database providers in response to the COVID health crisis.
Now that most of those resources have reached their expiration date, we will be removing the Open Resources and changing it back to host only ongoing trials of potential new databases or resources.
Should more resources be offered in the future, we will make sure to post them so that students, faculty, and researchers can make use of the best resources available.
