All public service departments, including the Circulation/Reserve Desk, Interlibrary Loan, Reference Desk/Chat, Reference Online Center (ROC) Lab, and STEP Labs, close 15 minutes before the building closes.
The library will be OPEN and resume regular hours on Saturday, Aug. 29.
The library is closed Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Aug. 28 due to tropical storms Marco and Laura.
Virtual reference assistance is available during these hours. Access online library resources.
The library will close and move to virtual assistance at 1 p.m. on Monday through Tuesday.
Virtual assistance services will be unavailable on Wednesday and Thursday.
Virtual assistance will resume on Friday.
Special Collections will be conducting class instruction and tours virtually for the Fall 2020 semester. Professors/instructors may schedule a tour of the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collections and Louisiana Collection.

Professors/instructors may schedule a class tour of the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collections and the Louisiana Collection with the Head of Special Collections.
Professors/instructors must list two possible dates/times for appointments. Special Collections will try to schedule the first choice. Professors/instructors will be notified of their confirmed appointment.

Jessica Barton has been named the winner of the 2020 Jefferson Caffery Research Award. Her project, "Ambassador Jefferson Caffery (1886-1974): Latin American Posts", focuses on Ambassador Caffery's services in El Salvador, Colombia, Cuba and Brazil. Jessica utilized the Jefferson Caffery Papers (Collection 45) housed in the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collection.
