The Dupré Library building will be CLOSED on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Wednesday, Jan. 22, and Thursday, Jan. 23, due to inclement weather conditions. Research help will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. via Ask a Librarian. Library departments will be available via email.

Borrowing Limits

The total number of library materials (books, CDs, government documents, etc.) users are allowed to have checked out at one time varies depending on the user's classification with the University.

The borrowing limits are as follows:

  • Undergraduates and staff: 30 items
  • Graduate students: 75 items
  • Faculty: 100 items
  • Visitors who donate annually: 30 items
  • Alumni Legacy members: 10 items
  • LOUIS Reciprocal Borrowing cardholders: 10 items
