Copy Center

Copy Machines

Self-service copy machines are in the 1st floor Copy Center and are for campus departmental use only. They no longer accept Cajun Cards for student use. Copies are black and white, no color. Cost: $0.07 per 8.5x11, $0.07 per 8.5x14, and $0.14 per 11x17.

An additional self-service copy machine for campus departmental use is located in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room on the 3rd floor.

The Circulation Desk and vender technicians maintain the copy machines.

Scanners

A self-service KIC Scanning Station is in the 1st floor Copy Center and is free to use. The scanner allows patrons to edit and send scans in a variety of file formats to a USB drive, Cloud Storage, QR Code, the MyDocs app, or an email address.

A microfilm scanner is also available in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room on the 3rd floor. Staff produced scans are also available for a fee.

The Library Systems Department maintains the scanners.

Group Study Rooms

For the safety of our users, Group Study Rooms will be unavailable for use until further notice.

To use a group study room, inquire at the Circulation Desk to obtain a key. Circulation assigns study rooms on a first come, first served basis. Fines: $5.00 for leaving the Library building with a key and $20.00 for replacement of a lost key.

  • Group Study Rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • Rooms are for use by groups of two or more students for study purposes.
  • An enforced two-hour time limit as demand requires.
  • A current validated University of Louisiana at Lafayette ID is required to use a study room.
  • There are fines for not returning the study room key to the Circulation Desk when finished.
  • Do not leave personal items unattended in study rooms. Dupré library is not responsible for items left behind or stolen.

Individual Study Cubicles

There are a total of 69 single study carrels.

  • 35 carrels are designated for 2-hour use and available to all patrons.

To use an individual (2-hour) study carrel, inquire at the Circulation Desk to obtain a key. Circulation assigns cubicles on a first come, first served basis.

Fines: $5.00 for leaving the building with a key and $20.00 for replacement of a lost key.

  • Study Carrels are on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • All Carrels are for single occupant use only.
  • An enforced two-hour time limit as demand requires.
  • A current validated University of Louisiana at Lafayette ID is required to use a carrel.
  • There are fines for not returning the key to the Circulation Desk when finished.
  • Do not leave personal items unattended. Dupre Library is not responsible for items left behind or stolen.

Intercom Paging

Paging of patrons will be allowed in case of medical emergency only.

Stacks Maintenance

Circulation Services also includes the stacks area, the shelves where library materials are on each floor. A full-time employee and assigned student assistants maintain these areas. Their responsibility includes the upkeep of these areas and offering assistance as needed by patrons.
