Use of Resources Within the Library by Visitors

Library Use

Visitors may use Dupré Library's books, periodicals, online databases and other materials onsite for general and research purposes, providing use does not conflict with the Library's primary responsibility to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette community.

Books and other resources can be located using the online Library Catalog.

Users of Federal depository government information resources will be provided services comparable to those for primary patrons.

Minors Under the Age of 10

Minors under the age of ten must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.

Library patrons who are unable to meet this requirement but wish to use the Federal depository collections and services should contact the Reference Desk or the U.S. Government Information departments for assistance.

Leaving With / Damaging Material

Note that visitors will be referred to University Police when leaving with uncharged library materials or found damaging materials.

Checking Out Materials

Visitors who wish to check out library materials must be one of the following:

View the Library's borrowing limits, loan periods, and fines for these classifications.

WiFi

Visitors may register their devices for guest access to the University's wireless network. Refer to the University IT Service Desk's "Guest Access to Wireless Network," which contains steps on how to connect.
