Exhibit: UL Lafayette Architecture and Design Projects

The November exhibit showcases student and faculty projects from the UL Lafayette School of Architecture and Design and Society of Minority Architect Students. It features work done by the school for the community, including the building of the Lafayette Strong Pavilion and a proposal for the I-49 extension through Lafayette. The display emphasizes sustainability and community design, housing, women and minorities in architecture, and the relationship with the natural world. Items include graphic designs, small models, books, posters and other media.

Exhibit: International Education Week

UL Lafayette's Division of Global Engagement, formerly the Office of International Affairs, is celebrating International Education Week Nov. 12-16. As part of their celebration, the Division of Global Engagement has a display in the library showcasing items from around the world collected by members of the UL Lafayette community.

The items will be featured at the main entrance for the entire month of November.

Event: Do You Believe in Ghosts?

Join us for a two day look into the paranormal. The New Orleans Ghost Hunters and the Louisiana State Paranormal Research Society will show and tell you about the life of a paranormal investigator.

America Recycles Day

Event: 6th Annual Gaines Lecture Series

This year's guest speaker for the 6th Annual Gaines Lecture Series is Dr. Lillie Anne Brown from Florida A&M University. Dr. Brown's lecture is titled: " Writing for Life: 'Jefferson's Diary' as Transformative Text in Ernest J. Gaines's A Lesson Before Dying, and we are excited to share her lecture. This event is free to the public and will take place in the Gaines Center Hallway, located on the 3rd floor.
