Event: African American Literature Spoken Word & Read Out
Thu, 02/26/2015 - 11:00amThe annual African American Literature Spoken Word & Read Out will take place Thursday, Feb. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Student Union on the campus of UL Lafayette. The event is sponsored by the Ernest J. Gaines Center and will feature PowerfUL Poets, a spoken word group that performs on campus and around the community. All participants are invited to read a poem or passage from the works of their favorite African American writers at the event, which will be held near the cafeteria, in the space by the new bookstore.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
