This week we will be highlighting Collection 69, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Lafayette, LA Branch Records.

The purpose of the AAUW was to unite alumnae of different institutions of higher education to advance the economic, political, and educational opportunities for women.

The local Lafayette branch was started in 1924, and our records range to 2010. This collection is divided into three groups: national, state, and local. It contains organizational records, correspondence, bylaws, conference and convention materials, minutes, reports, and other miscellaneous materials.
