Did you know Special Collections has an archeological collection? Several of these items have been put on display in the display cases on the 1st floor of the library.
In addition to several new posters, there are books from the Louisiana Room and several items found in Collection 5, Artifacts and Documents Collection. These items include:
- two baskets made by Chitimacha natives
- bits of pottery found on Belmont Plantation from the Attakapas Indians
- an old pair of spectacles
