Special Collections has completed and posted a database for its Louisiana Map Collection. This collection includes over 25,000 state and local maps, both current and historical.
Explore all the wonderful Louisiana maps in the Louisiana Map Collection. You can search the index by collection, folder, or keyword search. Maps can be viewed in the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room.
The Louisiana Map Collection includes over 25,000 local, state, and federal (or GPO federal depository) maps, both current and historical. Although many of these maps are not listed in the Dupré Library Catalog, this index identifies the holdings in the collection.
Most Louisiana newspapers are housed in the Louisiana Collection and are available on microfilm. The exceptions are the Advocate (Baton Rouge) and the Times-Picayune (New Orleans), which are housed in Microforms on the 1st floor. Holdings of all titles can be identified through the Dupré Library Catalog or the Louisiana Newspaper Collection Holdings Index.
