Acclaimed author T. Geronimo Johnson will be at the Ernest J. Gaines Center for a book talk on Tuesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. Johnson is the recipient of the 2015 Ernest Gaines Award for Literary Excellence for his novel Welcome to Braggsville, which has been described as a “stylish satire” that is “radical, hilarious, tragic, and all too relevant.” It was longlisted for the 2015 National Book Award and was named one of the best books of 2015 by the Washington Post, TIME Magazine, Chicago Tribune, NPR, and Huffington Post, among others.
