Library Closing Early on Tuesday
The library, along with the University, will close at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24 in anticipation of severe weather.
Campus will reopen and classes and normal business operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

Campus will reopen and classes and normal business operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will close at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and will remain closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, because of Tropical Storm Francine. The campus expects to open at noon on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The library will CLOSE at noon today, Thursday, Oct. 8 through Saturday, Oct. 10. The library plans to reopen with regular hours starting Sunday.
Virtual reference assistance will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and not available on Friday and Saturday.

Congratulations to Cheylon Woods, Director of the Ernest J. Gaines Center, for receiving a 2018-2019 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Research Recognition Reception that took place on Jan. 28, 2020.
During the ceremony, University faculty and staff researchers were recognized for a range of accomplishments, from success in generating external funds and inventing patentable intellectual property to serving on research committees.
In addition to a book collection, Dupré Library provides service areas, computer labs, a classroom, public areas and group and individual study spaces for users. It also features special collections ranging from U.S. Government publications to rare manuscripts.
Dupré Library has floor space and glass display cases available for exhibition purposes in the 1st floor Grand Hall. Exhibits are on display one month at a time, and reservations are available on a first come basis.
