This month is Women’s History Month! As part of celebrating all of those who have paved the way for women’s rights in America, we will be highlighting some notable women in our Special Collections who gave a huge contribution for those who came after them.

This week Special Collections is sharing the Sylvia Roberts Collection. Sylvia Roberts (1933-2014) was a lawyer, educator, and women’s rights activist. She is known for being a member of The National Organization for Women and even won the case, Weeks vs. Southern Bell that fought against gender-based discrimination.

Mrs. Roberts collection contains her working files from various topics important to women’s rights advocates. Below are some topic items Mrs. Roberts has been involved with through education, women in law enforcement, women’s credit, and pay equity.

Fun Fact Friday is brought to you by Special Collections.
