Event: Digital Escape Room -- Oct. 22

Family Weekend is approaching, and we've created a digital escape room for you and your family and friends. Solve the puzzles left behind by Professor Shortz and see if you can "escape" the library.

You can complete this escape room by yourself or as a group with family and friends. Try as many times as you want and remember to have fun.

"The Final Escape" digital escape room will go live on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Event: Forum Discussion -- “A Dream Deferred, Not Denied: Desegregation of Higher Education”

A forum discussion about the desegregation of higher education and UL Lafayette led by panelists Dr. Michael Martin and Dr. Shawn Wilson.

“A Dream Deferred, Not Denied: Desegregation in Higher Education” will be held at the MLK exhibition at Blackham Collisium on Saturday, Febraruy 19, 2022. Dr. Micheal Martin will present on the desegregation of higher education and UL Lafayette and Dr. Shawn Wilson will talk about his experiences as a student and the first president of the Christiana Smith Alumni Association.

There will be a Q&A/ Forum after the presentation.

Event: Intermediality in French Comics: A Talk with Dr. Fabrice Leroy

Join us for a virtual talk on intermediality in French comics with Dr. Fabrice Leroy, BORSF Endowed Professor of Francophone Studies. Registration is required.

Tuesday, Oct. 11 | 6 p.m.

Through examples of artwork from a variety of recent publications, this talk discusses intermediality (the use of mixed media) in comics and graphic novels that engage in a productive interface with other visual arts such as photography, film, reportage, painting, video games, etc.
