If a picture is worth 1,000 words, what about videos? Find out with the addition of more than 300 videos to Credo Reference from producers such as Bloomberg and Inside Science. With 2,500+ minutes of short-form and long-form videos added, you can discover lectures, educational deep-dives, and documentaries on topics such as vaccines, minimum wage, cryptocurrency, public health, and extreme weather.
Did you know that Dupré Library first opened in 1960 and had only one floor? The two upper floors were added during 1966 to 1974.
The Center for Louisiana Studies digitized a 16mm reel of the 1960 dedication of this building.

The newly acquired Films on Demand - Master Academic Collection database provides comprehensive, curriculum-focused streaming videos on various subjects, including business & economics, health sciences and nursing, computer science, engineering, and much more, with content from the world’s top producers, such as PBS, BBC, A&E, National Geographic, and HBO.
The Librarian on Demand program is another new resource for the University community. University groups (student organizations, dorms, university departments, etc.) will be able to book instruction sessions, presentations, and/or Q&A discussions with a librarian. These group appointments will be held at the location and time of the group’s choosing.

Did you know Special Collections has an archeological collection?
View some artifacts and books in the display cases by the front door. There are two baskets made by Chitimacha natives, bits of pottery found on Belmont Plantation from the Attakapas Indians, and an old pair of spectacles.
