We're pleased to announce this year's call for papers for the Annual Caffery Competition, which awards $500 for the best original scholarly paper using primary research materials from Special Collections.

Special collections include the Cajun & Creole Music Collection, the Louisiana Collection, the University Archives & Acadiana Manuscripts Collection (includes the Rare Books Collection and Microforms), U.S. Government Information, the Blanco Public Policy Center, the Ernest J. Gaines Center, Digital Archives and the UL Lafayette Institutional Repository.

Deadline for submissions of papers: Feb. 28, 2020

Winner will be Announced: May 2020
