Digitization Archivist Scott Jordan has created a new digital exhibit from Special Collections.

The UL Lafayette Trophies exhibit showcases a selection of awards given to UL Lafayette students from the 1940s through the 1980s, celebrating performances in a variety of judged competitions: debates, public speaking, poetry readings, dramatic interpretations, athletics, drills, rallies, homecoming events, and ROTC activities. These trophies and plaques document the extracurricular activities of students and faculty, as well as represent certain design styles that evolved in popular culture from the middle to latter parts of the 20th century.

The awards featured in this exhibit are housed in the University Archives on the 3rd floor. This exhibit and others created by UL Lafayette Special Collections can be viewed under Digital Exhibits.

The physical version of this exhibit, also curated by Scott Jordan, is available in the 1st floor stairwell.
