March is packed with events at Dupré Library.

On Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dupré Library will host a screening of the film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) in the Bayou Bijou of the Student Union. Called "a Middle Eastern vampire romance," the film is a mash-up of multiple genres and influences, including graphic novels, horror films, teenage romantic comedies, Jim Jarmusch, Spaghetti Westerns, 1950s juvenile delinquent movies, and Iranian new wave.

The event is part of Freshman Week activities on the campus of UL Lafayette. It is free and open to the public.
