Give to the Library

Giving to Dupré Library enriches the focus on learning and research while providing resources to the community.

Material Donations

Due to space constraints, we are currently not accepting physical item donations, such as books.

Dupré Library welcomes gifts of library materials which will increase the capability of the collection to support the teaching and research programs of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Find out more information on donating and acceptable materials in the Donations & Gifts Policy.

Monetary Donations

Show support by giving to the Edith Garland Dupré Library and/or the Cajun & Creole Music Collection library designations. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Foundation handles these donations. All gifts to the Library are tax-deductible.

Dedicated Books Program

The Dedicated Books Program offers a wonderful way to honor the contributions of others in our lives. Donations of $50.00 or more allow the Library to purchase new books, each adorned with a bookplate featuring the names of the honoree and donor. Contributions to this program totaling $250.00 or more can be designated to create a permanent endowment fund in the name of the donor or an honoree. This fund generates annual interest, which is used for special book purchases. All gifts to the Library are tax deductible.

Visitor Borrowing Privileges

Visitors who wish to borrow library materials are invited to Give to the Library at an annual cost of $100.00 or more. Privileges do not include off-campus access to online databases and electronic materials. For more information, view Visitor Information.
