Contains photographs from Europe and Asia; Japanese material (proclamation, leaflets, and school workbook); U.S. Armed Forces in Europe (miscellaneous newsletters or histories and material on 12 Armored Division); U.S. Armed Forces in Asia and Pacific (miscellaneous newsletters, program for dedication of memorial flagstaff at Iwo Jima hand-drawn map of Philippines); and miscellaneous material. Donors: Japanese and Chinese money given to President Fletcher by Cody Miller. Pamphlet concerning the activities of the 273rd Infantry Division given to President Fletcher by Ernest G. Moore. Includes articles by Wunderlich, 1938-1968; experiment reports, specifications for mechanical apparatus, directions for applications, 1947-1967; and miscellaneous, includes partial resume of Wunderlich, clippings on water hyacinth projects including one at SLI, 1945-1965. MSS 152 Victor Bussie ( - ). Papers, 1987, 1997-1998. 2 folders Bussie was the only president the Louisiana AFL-CIO has ever had until he retired in 1997. He was president for 41 years. He was on the front lines of Louisiana politics. Contains biographical information about Victor Bussie and also all his awards and recognitions. Also included are news clippings.
MSS 153 Theaux/Delhomme. Family, 1950s 1 folder Lena Theaux Delhomme and her mother Flavie Landry Theaux wrote stories of their lives living in the 1950s in Lafayette. They wanted to pass on their stories for their children, grandchildren, etc. Included is a typescript entitled ”Beadle’s Feed Store” by Lena Theaux Delhomme where she and her family once lived. Also included are handwritten details from Falvie Landry Theaux about her life. Donated by Peggy Henshall, daughter of Lena Theaux Delhomme.

MSS 159 Smith, Homer (1827-1886). Diary of Trip to Europe, 1846 (or 1851) 1 v. Homer Smith was born in Connecticut. His family moved to St. Mary Parish in the 1840’s where his father, Simeon, set up a mercantile and trading business in Franklin. Simeon died I the 1853 yellow fever epidemic. Homer remained in Connecticut to complete his college education and then take the European tour which was a common experience for well-to-do young men. He then moved to Franklin, La. He died there on 23 March 1886. The diary recounts the European trip. It is a handwritten bound volume in poor condition with loose boards. The signatures are intact. Donated by Dale Faulk
