| Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) requires that library programs and services be accessible to people who have disabilities. Dupré Library complies with these requirements by providing curb ramps, accessible parking, modified entrances, signs enhanced with Braille, special seating areas, and other compatible resources. Personnel services are also provided to those who are otherwise unable; these include item retrieval, copying, verbal assistance, emergency rescue procedures, and more. The library provides adaptive technologies such as screen reading devices and monitors for the visually impaired on the first floor near Reserve. Many library resources are now available on the Internet. With the growing amount of these resources, the library generates accessible library Web pages in compliance with the recommendations proposed by the W3C's Content Access Guidelines.
