In the 1940s, Franklin Boggs was commissioned by the Aloe Company, a medical supply company in New Orleans, LA, to capture the evolution of the state's medical history. The 112-foot by 57-inch mural located in the Library's Reference and Research Services area depicts memorable events in Louisiana’s medical history.
