Corps of Engineers Aerial Photographs

Collection 453

Corps of Engineers. Aerial Photographs, 1958–1964

2 feet

Corps of Engineers Aerial Photographs were made primarily to update water/land boundaries and related data on quadrangle charts. Not all areas of the state have been covered. These photographs were taken from 1958 to 1964. Computerized indexes are in three parts with arrangement by map name, date, and starting number of each sequence of frames.

These photographs come from several repositories from the state, including the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette), Louisiana State University, New Orleans Public Library, Northwestern State University, Louisiana State Library, and LSU-Shreveport.

This collection is arranged alphabetically by city/town. For map index and computerized indexes, contact a Special Collections staff member.

This collection was brought in by Collin B. Hamer, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana.
