William M. Reid was a rice miller, president, and executive vice president of the Rice Millers Association. Reid retired in 1962 as chief administrator of the Rice Millers Association. He has been connected with the Rice Industry for about 50 years. Reid served on the advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, secured a rice trade agreement with Cuba, and organized the U.S. Rice Export Development Association.
This collection consists of minutes of the advisory council, articles, and reports on the rice industry. Also included are the Rice Millers Association newsletters and other miscellaneous materials. These papers are valuable historical records of the Rice Industry.
William Reid donated the collection.
