AcadianaCares is a nonprofit health organization located in Lafayette Parish. Founded in 1985 as Lafayette C.A.R.E.S. (Concern for AIDS Relief Education and Support), AcadianaCares provides services and education to help care for individuals with HIV/AIDS and prevent the spread of the virus. While HIV/AIDS is still a focus, the organization has also expanded to center on the issues that cause vulnerabilities, including inequities in health care, homelessness, and substance use issues. Information about them can be found at https://www.acadianacares.org/.

This collection contains a scrapbook put together by Ted Richard, a volunteer at AcadianaCares who promoted education on HIV/AIDS.

Ted Richard donated the collection.
