Morton, Adam O., Sr. (1879 -1955). Certificate, 1932

Adam Olivier Morton, Sr. was born on July 23, 1879. He was a resident of Abbeville, Louisiana (Vermilion Parish). He married Edia LeBlanc Morton and they had five children. He worked for the Texas Company for 40 years. He was a member of the City Council of Abbeville, as well as Chief of Police, Constable and Ex-Officio Tax Collector of Abbeville. He died at the age of 76. He is buried at the Old Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville.

This collection consists of a certificate of “Adam O. Morton”, Chief of Police, Constable and Ex-Officio Tax Collector in and around for the town of Abbeville, Louisiana, 1932.
