Kathleen Marie Stagg was born on December 3, 1943, the daughter of Isaac Thomas Stagg and Loretta Bourgeois Stagg. She graduated from University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette), receiving a B.A. in Science and Education. She then attended LSU and received her M.A. in Library Science. She was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School System for over 20 years and worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a special education teacher. She died on October 17, 2014 at the age of 70, and is buried at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

This genealogical collection consists of her research on the Stagg and related families. Documents include pedigree charts, publications, certificates, correspondence, photographs, and maps.

Her sister, Ruth Anne Stagg of Opelousas, donated this collection.
