Frank C. Flowers (1908–1995). Collection, 1949–1980

Frank C. Flowers received his B. A. degree from Louisiana College in 1930. He then received his A. B. degree from Stanford University in 1932. Flowers got his M.A. in 1939 and his Ph.D. in 1941 from Louisiana State University. Dr. Flowers taught at the Southwestern Louisiana Institute/ University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) from 1946 to 1986. He wrote and published 5 textbooks and numerous articles while at USL. He taught linguistics and was head of the remedial English program.

This collection contains mostly publications written by Flowers. There are also correspondence, general records, newspaper clippings, and other materials.
