Use of Electronic Resources by Visitors

  • Visitors can use the Library's Reference Online Center (ROC Lab), which provides approximately 24 computers for access to the Library Catalog, electronic research databases, and Federal depository government information resources.
  • No general Internet use is available to visitors.
  • Edith Garland Dupré Library is contractually obligated to limit remote access to licensed online library resources to current University of Louisiana at Lafayette students, faculty, and staff. Members of the public can access most of these library electronic resources within the Library.
  • In general, while printing is not available, visitors can save online documents using the email function within the online database (if available) or by downloading them to a USB drive. Printing for Federal government information users is available. For assistance, inquire at the Reference Desk.
  • Visitors may register their devices for guest access to the University's wireless network. Refer to the University IT Help Desk's "Guest Access to Wireless Network," which contains steps on how to connect.
