The library is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community. Face coverings are required in all areas of the library and users are expected to practice appropriate physical distancing. The back entrance will remain closed. Jazzman’s Café is open Monday - Friday.
Circulation Services and Reserves
Books and materials may be borrowed and reserved as usual.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services
ILL is accepting requests for books and journal articles, book chapters, theses, and dissertations. Arrival of materials will depend on closures at other libraries.
Library Instructional Services
The library instruction team will work with any instructor to help meet research and information literacy student learning objectives. Whether the class is in-person, hybrid, or online, the library offers a variety of pandemic-flexible options for synchronous and asynchronous library instruction and will design support for specific research assignments. Reference & Research Services
Access to digital resources is available 24/7. Authentication with a ULID is required. Research assistance is available at the Reference Desk and through the Ask-a-Librarian service during posted library hours of operation. Research assistance is also available by scheduled appointments via email at email@example.com.
(Archives, Cajun & Creole Music Collection, Gaines Center, U.S. Government Information)
Research services are provided, including duplication and digitization of materials in the collections for both the UL community and researchers from outside the university community. Research assistance is available face-to-face on a limited basis by scheduled appointments with the Special Collections staff.
Access to online U.S. government information and Federal depository publications are available via the website, research guides, and online catalog. Research assistance is available at the Reference Desk, through the Ask-a-Librarian service during posted library hours of operation, and by scheduled appointments, either in-person or remotely.
The STEP Lab located in the Library is open during building hours. The lab is reduced in size to maintain social distancing restrictions. Printing is available.
Graduate Computer Lab
This lab is available for use through check out at the Circulation Desk on first floor.
Individual Study Cubicles
These rooms are available for use through check out at the Circulation Desk on first floor.
Group Study Rooms
These rooms are closed temporarily.
Copiers and scanners are available for users.
