Most of the databases can be accessed from off-campus. If prompted, enter a university ID and password to access a database. To obtain a university ID and password, faculty, staff, and students may visit the Help Desk.
Off-campus access problems?
If you are unable to access the library databases from off-campus, please call the Reference Desk at 337.482.6030.
In addition, you may try the following steps:
- Make sure cookies are enabled.
- Clear cookies & cache.
- Try opening a new window.
- Try another browser.
- Try rebooting your computer.
- Try another computer, if possible.
When the library is closed (hours of operation) and multiple databases from different providers (for example, JSTOR and Academic Search Complete) are unavailable from off campus, the UL Lafayette IT Department may be able to help you. To access EBSCOhost Mobile:
Using your mobile device, select EBSCOhost Databases.
Electronic databases are limited to UL Lafayette authorized users (students, faculty, and staff). Users must follow Fair Use as outlined in U.S. Copyright Law and provisions of license agreements with individual providers. Material obtained through the online databases must be used for personal, noncommercial purposes. Improper use generally includes, but is not limited to, utilizing robots/auto crawlers, downloading entire e-journals, printing numerous copies of a single article, or publishing articles made available through the databases. Unauthorized use of Dupré Library databases and other electronic resources can result in revocation of access.
