Looking for a DVD or video to enjoy? The library provides CDs, DVD, videos, maps, microforms and much more. A-V equipment is available for listening and viewing in the library. Inquire at Circulation.
DVDs are generally housed at the Circulation Desk and may be checked out for two nights. A complete listing of all A/V materials can be found in the library catalog. DVDs are also part of Special Collections, the Cajun and Creole Music Collection, and other areas.
CDs are also housed at the Circulation Desk, although many CDs are part of the Cajun and Creole Music Collection and Special Collections. Phonograph records and audiotapes are found in the Louisiana Room, the Cajun and Creole Music Collection and along the wall on the third floor. Use the term "Sound recording" in the library catalog title field to limit to this material.
Micoforms are generally located in the Microforms Room on the first floor. This area contains back issues of newspapers, periodicals, and other items in various formats, microfilm, and microfiche being the most common formats. New machine readers are available which have reading, printing, and other features.
