Some of the rarest recordings in the Cajun and Creole Music Collection were acquired through gifts from individuals. The CCMC collects recordings in all formats: 78 rpm records, vinyl (33 1/3 rpm and 45 rpm), audiotapes, videotapes, CDs, DVDs, etc. The CCMC also accepts monetary donations to be used to purchase items for the collection. In addition, donations of music-related personal papers, business records, photograph collections, oral history tapes, etc., are especially welcome.
