| The library is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Library
patrons are expected to comply with the UL Lafayette published policies
on the use of computers and network resources. The policies
are on the university's Information Technology Policies and Procedures web page. (http://cio.ucs.louisiana.edu/itpolicy) |

| |
| Internet connections for laptops and other devices |
| The wireless Internet connections (UWIN) are to be used by UL Lafayette students, faculty, and staff only. Non-UL laptop users will not be able to use the Internet because of the university's "NetReg" regulations. All computer users who want to use the UL Lafayette network must register their computers on the network and to do so must have a UCS account (CLID and Password). Guest access is available under special circumstances. This is a University Policy. | Patron Ethics and Responsibililties |

| Dupré Library is a shared facility. Library materials must be shared and preserved for the benefit of the entire community of Library users. Library patrons must respect the rights of the other persons in the Library. |

| The following rules will be enforced: |
- No loud talking (see noise floor level guides in library)
- No radios or CD players
- No smoking
- No in-line skates, skateboards or scooters
|
| Failure to comply with reasonable policies may result in suspension or cancellation of Library privileges. |

| Services to the Disabled and to those with Special Needs |
| |
| Dupré Library complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990). Equipment for the visually impaired is located on the first floor adjacent to the STEP Computer lab. Library web pages are designed to be accessed by the visually impaired. Please contact the Reference Department to obtain assistance in locating books and services within the Library. For more information on web accessibility, go to the university's IT web page, Information Technology Policies and Procedures. Campus services are provided by the Office of Disability Services. |

| Vandalism and Mutilation of Library Resources |
| |
| The Library building, the equipment, furniture and Library's collections are resources owned by the State of Louisiana. Theft, vandalism and mutilation of State property will be handled according to the State of Louisiana laws and according to the Code of Student Conduct and Appeal Procedures. |

It is also available in the Jefferson Caffery Louisiana Room and the University Archives & Acadiana Manuscripts Collections, located on the third floor of Edith Garland Dupré Library. |
