| Founded in 1984, the Friends of the Library are a volunteer, nonprofit organization of patrons who work to strengthen the Library's collections and services to the community. In addition, the Friends also promote the Library to the University and the Acadiana Community by: sponsoring lectures and exhibits, organizing fund-raisers and book sales, and soliciting donations of rare archival materials and valuable book collections. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
