Circulation Department
 
The purpose of the Circulation Department is to provide friendly and courteous service to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette community and the general public in lending library materials. Additionally, staff members are responsible for answering directional questions, maintaining photocopiers, and group study rooms.
 
Materials may be checked out with a valid university ID card. Circulation period for books is three weeks. Renewals and holds are available online and in the department. Fines for overdue library books are 25 cents a day after an initial three-day grace period.
 
Friends of the Library
Persons not affiliated with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette can obtain a library card by joining the Edith Garland Dupré Library Friends of the Library. Members giving $35 or more per year are entitled to check out library materials with their Friends card.
 
My Account Feature
Use the My Account feature in the library catalog to access your circulation records and contact information. Your User ID is your complete 9-digit Cajun Card number; the PIN is your 4-digit birth month and year, for example, 0384 for March 1984. An alternate PIN is changeme.
