ON CAMPUS
The three-story, newly renovated library provides a pleasant environment for research and study. Computer labs in the library provide access to the Internet, the MS Office Suite, database searching, email, and other applications. Printing is available.
Books and other materials may be borrowed from the library with a valid university ID card. Circulation period for books is three weeks. Renewals and holds are available in the department.
Dupré Library is a hotspot for wireless networking. Wireless networking allows users of mobile devices such as laptop computers and personal digital assistants (PDA's) to access a computer network (such as the UL Lafayette campus network or the Internet) without the need for a physical (that is, hardwired) connection. On all three floors of the library, coverage is designed to provide service to open seating areas. If you are having trouble getting a strong signal please look for the twin black antennas pointing down from the ceiling and sit where you can see them.
The Reference Department provides assistance with database searching in the Reference Online Center and supports other informational queries either in person, via telephone or email.1
Copy machines are available on each floor of the library. Copies can be purchased with the university's Cajun Card, which also functions as an ID card.

blue_buttonnetLibrary is an electronic database containing over 14,000 e-books. These titles cover topics in business, computer science, education, history, literature, and much more. Reference, scholarly, professional and popular books are included. Photographs, illustrations, tables, and graphs enhance the text of many books in this collection. Checkout time varies from four hours to one day with option for renewal. UL Lafayette students, faculty and staff must individually register an account on any university computer before using netLibrary on campus and remotely.

iLink ONLINE CATALOG
Edith Garland Dupré Library recently launched its new, web-based catalog, iLink. With the look of an Internet search engine, iLink simplifies searches for library materials and information. A major advantage of iLink is the wealth of options it provides. User-friendly, pull-down menus offer keyword, author, title, subject, and series searches. The advanced search mode allows users to search any combination of these terms.
A task bar provides quick access to the Library's Reference Online Center web page, the Interlibrary Loan Department web page, and a host of other library catalogs. An option also gives users access to their circulation records.
