Selected Online Database Resources
 
Academic Search Complete   The world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 7,900 full-text periodicals, including more than 6,800 peer-reviewed journals. Content also includes more than 11,900 abstracted and indexed journals. Academic Search Complete features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full-text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.
 
ArchiVision   ArchiVision: an architecture photo archive, currently holds over 50,000 images in the Education Archive. The ArchiVision Educational Archive was created for in-depth study and analysis by students of architecture and art. ArchiVision is the image resource for architecture, landscapes, public art and design.
     
Art Abstracts   This database provides comprehensive indexing and abstracts for 378 leading international publications pertaining to a variety of art types. This bibliographic database indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals.
     
Art Full Text   Art Full Text is a comprehensive resource for art information featuring full-text articles from more than 300 periodicals dating back to 1995, high-quality indexing and abstracting of over 600 periodicals dating as far back as 1984, including 280 peer-reviewed journals, as well as indexing and abstracting of over 13,000 art dissertations.
 
Arts & Humanities Citation Index   (via Web of Science), 1975-. A comprehensive index of the top scholarly research journals in the arts and humanities. indexes 1140 journals, no abstracts or full-text, citations only.
 
ArtSEARCH [LIBRARY ONLY]   ArtSEARCH, the national employment bulletin for the arts can be searched by category, state, and date. The database is updated every 3 business days with up to 1000 listings available daily. Find positions in theatres and performing arts centers, universities, colleges and schools, dance companies, museums, and other arts organizations.
 
ArtStor   A non-profit community resource that has developed a rich digital library of images as well as software tools to enable full use of the collection. Contains over approximately 700,000 images covering art, architecture and archeology.
     
Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals   The only comprehensive American guide to the current literature of architecture and design. This database surveys more than 2,500 US and foreign international, popular and scholarly journals.
     
JSTOR   The JSTOR subscription includes the Arts & Sciences I, II, III, IV, V and VII Collections, and the Arts & Sciences Complement. The Arts & Sciences Collections represent the building blocks of an interdisciplinary archive of journals in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
     
Oxford Art Online   The most comprehensive online reference resource for all aspects of the visual arts worldwide from prehistory to the present day. Includes the full text of The Dictionary of Art and The Oxford Companion to Western Art.
     
Project Muse   Provides full-text, online access to humanities and social sciences journals. Dupré Library subscribes to the Standard Collection.

American Institute of Architects. Since 1857, AIA has been the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners.
American Planning Association. The APA promotes good planning practices to build better communities while protecting the environment so residents have choices in housing, transportation & employment.
Architecture Online: a Comprehensive List of Top Architecture WebSites. An integrated arts and culture portal. Zeroland, the developer, links to webpages of special artistic, literary, imaginative, scholarly, informative, technical or historical value from sources such as universities, schools, museums, galleries, organizations, scholars, artists and writers. Arranged by category and geographic region. Websites are not charged a listing fee and are included in the directory only for their special qualities.
Great Buildings Collection: features pohtographs and drawings of over 1,000 buildings, along with maps, timelines, 3D building models, commentaries, bibliographies, web links, and more.
